My January 2013 Julep Maven (learn more about Julep here) Bombshell Box came in yesterday. This box featured shades from the Nudes and Neon collections and was super bright and fun – just what I need at this time of year. This box featured two beautiful polishes, Ava and Better, as well as Julep’s Hand and Cuticle Stick, swatch me stickers, and a few brightly coloured Twistbands. The swatch me stickers are intriguing – swipe your polish on it and stick it on top of the bottle so that you can see what the shade actually looks like – it will definitely make picking out colours easier, but I’m not sure if I want to see these on all of my bottles.
I really like the Hand and Cuticle stick – it’s like a giant lip balm for your hands. I found it to be really lightweight and didn’t leave behind a greasy residue. My hands and cuticles felt really soft after using this, and it has a really nice, lemon-y scent.
The colours that I received this month were Bette (electric neon purple creme) and Ava (ballet slipper pink frost). They are both really pretty, but I have to say I was instantly in love with Bette when I opened this month’s box. The purple is so electric, and I can’t wait to try it out.
