Clarins Spring 2013

Oh Clarins, let me count the ways I love thee… On second hand, that could take a while, so I’ll skip that and move onto a couple of new products for spring 2013 that I’ve been playing with.

Clarins Poudre Multi-Eclat

First up is the Clarins Poudre Multi-Eclat Mineral Loose Powder.  In case you were wondering, the shade shown here is 001 light which is, as you may have guessed, the lightest shade available – and it fits in with my porcelain toned skin nicely.  This loose powder has a very luxurious feel – it’s smooth and silky and has a light-reflecting shimmer to help your skin glow.  This powder is very light, and is perfect for setting makeup.  I really liked the finish it gave – it wasn’t noticeable but lightly mattified my skin.  The shimmer is not super noticeable once the powder is applied, but if you’re afraid of looking like a vampire in Twilight you might want to stick with their original loose powder.  Just a head’s up for those who are sensitive to scent –  It does also have a very light, violet scent.

Clarins Gloss Prodige in Water Lily

The other product I wanted to tell you about it is the Clarins Gloss Prodige (in Water Lily).  This gloss is high shine and not at all sticky.  I think this colour is very pretty for spring – it has a bit of a coral tint to it and does apply quite sheer, adding only a hint of colour to the lip.  It also smells so, so good – like fresh, sweet strawberries.  I will be providing a swatch of this gloss in a few days – my lips aren’t currently in the best of shape thanks to a little thing called MRSA (nothing major, don’t worry!).

Price: Poudre Multi-Eclate $47/30 g, Gloss Prodige $23

Where to Buy: Clarins.ca/Clarins Boutiques, Sears, The Bay, Shoppers Drug Mart, Pharmaprix
