I’ve been a pretty big fan of L’Oreal Paris mascaras for a while – the Voluminous Power 24H Mascara is one of my favourites, and that’s in a list that isn’t limited to drug store brands. When I started seeing ads for the newest addition to the Voluminous family showing up in magazines (I would like to thank Cosmo for making an impatient Canadian girl wait) I was intrigued and couldn’t wait until I was able to get my hands on this new mascara to try.
The L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Butterfly Mascara really got me interested because of its unique brush shape. The butterfly brush has a really neat asymmetrical brush that starts of narrow and wings out at the end so that it can hit every single lash. Even those sneaky ones in the corner that have a tendency to try to escape. This mascara also has “cocoon fibers” that delicately wrap the lashes for a soft yet spectacular look.
So what’s the verdict? I’m a fan. I really love how the brush combs through the lashes and provides great separation. Oh, and fantastic length. The butterfly brush also really does what it claims to do – it hits all the lashes for a nice full look. I do find that it provides a lighter look, and is perfect for daytime lashes – I would probably add an extra coat or two to add a little more volume for a night out.
