Cinnamon Whiskey Sour Cocktail Recipe

  • 1/2 Oz Cinnamon Simple Syrup (recipe below - 1 cup water, 1 cup white sugar, 1 cinnamon stick)
  • 2 Oz Whisky (we used Wayne Gretzky Red Cask Premium Whisky)
  • 3/4 Oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 Egg White
  • Dillon's Pear Bitters


  • Start off by making your simple syrup. In a saucepan combine sugar, water and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil, stirring until all sugar has dissolved. Carefully remove cinnamon stick and leave to cool.
  • Add whisky, lemon juice, 1/2 oz of cinnamon syrup and egg white to a shaker tin filled with ice. Shake, vigorously, until very cold. Seriously, shake the hell outta this cocktail so that the egg whites emulsify.
  • Pour cocktail through a strainer into a chilled glass. Add a few dashed of bitters on top (feel free to make 'em pretty), garnish with an orange peel and serve. Or enjoy.


We used Wayne Gretzky Red Cask Whisky for this recipe but feel free to swap it out for your fave.
