You may remember that last year I posted about the Aveda Institute Canada’s Born to Style Hair Scholarship (you can read the post here). This year, Aveda will be holding the contest once again to give aspiring stylists a chance to win one of four scholarships. The winning candidates will receive the grand prize of full tuition at one of Aveda’s top hair schools in Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary and Vancouver. You can learn more about Aveda’s hair schools here.
If you or someone you know would be perfect for this contest, you can learn more and enter at the Born To Style website. The application process is easy – start off by making a video showing exactly why you think you are born to style and why you should perfect your hairstyling skills with Aveda, and then submit it to the above link – it will then be posted to the contest site where you can earn votes. The video with the highest number of votes will be secured a place in the hair showdown! If you need some inspiration, you can browse last year’s entries here. Deadline for entries is March 1, 2013. UPDATE: Deadline has been extended to March 17, 2013, with the final runway shows taking place in May 2013.
Once the voting period ends, a panel of judges will select finalists to compete in the hair showdown in their closest city (Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary and Vancouver) – they will participate in a head-to-head competition and runway show. The four winners (one from each city) will be awarded full scholarships to the Aveda Institute hair school.
