Beauty is definitely in bloom right now, if the new L’Oreal Paris Collection Exclusive La Vie En Rose by Colour Riche is any indication. The latest celeb-inspired collection takes on a daintier style, with 6 beautiful rose-hued matte lipsticks and polishes. L’Oreal Paris’ Beauty Ambassadors, Blake Lively, Jennifer Lopez, Julianne Moore, Doutzen Kroes, Liya Kibede and Eva Longoria, each lend their name and style to a polish/lipstick duo, creating an array of shades for every skin tone.
Each of the six lipsticks was created with a combination of mother-of-pearl micro fragments and velvety pigments to create a formula that is long-lasting with lovely colour. They’re not overly pigmented, leaving a nice wash of colour that is pretty without being overpowering. They glide on really nicely, with a soft, satin finish that keeps the lips moisturized.
Of course, as with the previous collections, the lipsticks find partners in matching shades of nail polish. Again, each polish has been inspired by the ambassadors, and take on delightfully pink tones that match up in richness. Full of pigment and rich in shine, they glide beautifully on the nails. The lighter shades do need 2-3 coats, as they apply quite sheer and a little streaky of course, but the second coat quickly takes care of this.
