Well, if you needed another reason to take your brows more seriously, this is it. Benefit Cosmetics has recently launched their new brow collection, offering a range of options with 10 new & redesigned products. There’s a little something in there for every “brow dilemma,” as Benefit calls them, and comfort level. New to the brow circuit? Trying to make up for overplucking? Ready to define? After playing with the line, and learning about every single product firsthand with a little help from Jared Bailey, Benefit’s Global Brow Expert, and Maddox Lu, Benefit Canada’s National Brow Artist, I’m quite convinced that they’ve come up with something for everyone.

No Benefit collection would be complete without super cute packaging, right?

Benefit’s taken the collection one step further with the introduction of a wider range of shades to make finding your match even easier, which means no more trying to play around with products when you fall somewhere between light & medium or medium & deep.

The entire collection has been given a sleek, whimsical and, yes, magical look, meaning I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Shall I walk you through it?

We’ve seen primers for just about every other part of the face, so why not for the brows? The BROWVO! Conditioning Primer ($36 CAD) helps to condition and smooth with its clear formula, giving other products a little something extra to stick to. The formula is packed with nutrients to help improve thickness and fullness with continued use, and Jared suggested throwing this on daily for the best results, even when you’re not applying other products.

The Precisely, My Brow Pencil ($30 CAD) is perfect for those who want more precise definition and aren’t afraid to really get in there and shape. The slim, fine tip makes a natural look easy, as it mimics fine hairs and adds more detail into the look. Of course, a spooly brush on the other end brushes in product for a natural look. This is definitely one of my favourite products in the collection – it makes creating a naturally defined arch so easy.

Feeling a little more unsure about your brow skills or just starting out? The Goof Proof Brow Pencil ($30 CAD) will be right up your alley. The larger, teardrop shaped tip means you can easily glide product through your brows, quickly filling them in without having to worry too much about precise definition or working with fine, short strokes. This one is perfect for those days when you need to quickly throw your brows on before you walk out the door. Again, a spooly brush on the end allows for perfect blending.

If you like a little more texture, you’ll love ka-BROW! ($30 CAD). The cream gel fills and defines, with buildable colour that can be customized to fit your look. It’s smooth, pigmented and I love the built-in brush that is found in the lid. Oh, and it offers 24-hour waterproof wear, so your brows are going nowhere. Honestly, this was the product that I liked the most after testing and playing around with the entire collection. It looks great on and blends in really nicely, plus it’s so precise.

Ready to lock in your brows? Ready, Set, BROW! ($30 CAD) has you covered. This clear gel sets product and locks brows in place for a perfectly groomed finish. The dual-sided brush has shorter bristles on one side for ultimate control and longer bristles on the other to brush it through, letting you set your brows; it’s great over other product but can also be used on its own to tame when you want to rock your natural brows. I do suggest going a little lighter on this gel; too much can make your brows look a little too styled and gets a little, well, crunchy.

It adds really subtle colour and a slightly metallic look to really liven up brows. I actually like to use this in place of the brow gel to finish off my look.

Of course, Benefit couldn’t get rid of some of their more popular brow products – instead, they’ve been repackaged to freshen them up so they fit in with the rest of the lineup. High Brow, the fan fave highlighting pencil, has a new sidekick in High Brow Glow (both $29 CAD each), an updated version with a hint of champagne shimmer for those who want a little more glow.

Don’t worry – Gimme Brow ($30 CAD) still has the same formula we all love, just in a pretty new package, with one minor update – it’s now available in 3 shades, with a medium shade being added into the existing lineup of light and deep. This makes me so happy as I had trouble using those two shades; neither really matched me and I just couldn’t use them. Medium? Medium is definitely my jam.

The Brow Zings ($42 CAD) formula is, once again, still the same but with new packaging. Two exciting updates come with this one. First, 3 new shades have been added in, for a total of 6. Secondly, the new extendable applicator makes applying product even easier, thanks to its extendable design.

Will you be trying any of the new Benefit Brow Collection?
