5 Things to Check Out in the Hamilton, Ontario Area This Month | September 2019 Edition

September is just a few days away and I’m still not ready to admit it. Summer always seems to pass by way too quickly and before you know it you’re inundated with Halloween & Christmas decorations. I’ve already seen Halloween stuff popping up in a few stores – as much as I love it, I just want to ride out what’s left of summer before the cooler weather decides to show up. Alas, September is just about here, so it’s time to share 5 things to check out in the Hamilton, Ontario area this month.

Bier Garden at MIP

(McMaster Innovation Park, Monday-Friday 11-6) – With its grand opening recently taking place on August 22nd, the new Bier Garden at MIP is a really cool spot to visit and grab a cold one. The open-air space will feature local brews & food and will definitely be a space to watch as it evolves.

Clued Upp Hamilton

(Downtown Hamilton, September 28) – I’m a serious sucker for anything interactive, especially if it includes a mystery. This one-day event brings the mystery to the streets of Hamilton as you play in teams of up to 6 to solve the “Sneaky Finders” case. Teams will spend the afternoon going around downtown Hamilton to find clues and crack the case, with prizes up for grabs for things like best costumes, team names & K-9 detective. I’ll definitely be taking part, so say hi if you see me!

Supercrawl

(James Street North, Hamilton, September 13-15) – Every September, James Street North becomes a haven for art & music lovers. Buskers, musicians, fashionistas, food vendors & artists all come together for an amazing weekend in the heart of Hamilton that you won’t want to miss. Find the schedule for performances & shows here.

Binbrook Fall Fair

(Binbrook, September 13-15) – Celebrating its 165th year, the Binbrook Fall Fair is the perfect way to usher in the new season. With lots of exhibits, food, entertainment & more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Doggy Dip & Mutt Marketplace

(Bronte Creek Provincial Park, September 7) – Any event that involves a ton of puppers is alright with me. Bronte Creek Provincial Park, in association with National Service Dogs, is putting on this fun event for dog lovers that takes advantage of the yearly pool closure. Your pup will be able to go for a swim with their pals and you’ll be able to enjoy speakers, lots of pup-centered vendors & other fun.

Other things to check out in the Hamilton, Ontario area for September 2019: Canada’s Largest Ribfest (Spencer Smith Part, Burlington, August 30 – September 2), Harvest Moon Festival (Andrews Scenic Acres, September 14), TD Brantford International Jazz Festival (Harmony Square, September 13 – 15)
